Two paths. One artistic vision.
Laboratorio Sottocasa was born from the meeting of two creative souls.
We live and work in the heart of the Monte Cucco Natural Park in Umbria, Italy, where nature, silence and time inspire everything we create. Here, every piece is shaped by the dialogue between craftsmanship, imagination and authenticity.
Although we work with different materials, we share the same philosophy: to create meaningful works that tell stories and celebrate the beauty of imperfection

Matteo
For Matteo, art is a language in constant evolution.
Tattooing since 1995, his artistic journey extends far beyond the skin. Painting, ceramics and drawing are all part of the same creative research: transforming emotions, memories and ideas into timeless visual expressions.
Every project is approached with curiosity, intuition and respect for the story behind it, creating unique works that reflect both the artist and the person who chooses them.
Claudia
For Claudia, ceramics are more than a craft—they are a way of giving shape to emotions.
Each piece is carefully hand-built and finished, allowing the clay itself to guide the creative process. Through organic forms, textured surfaces and subtle imperfections, her work celebrates authenticity, simplicity and the beauty of handmade objects.
Every creation is unique, shaped by patience, intuition and a deep connection with the material
